Martin Hoffmann studied Electrical Engineering at Leibniz Universität Hannover and Bristol University (UK). Concurrently, he founded and led an IT distribution company. In 2006, Martin Hoffmann joined the System and Computer Architecture group of Prof. Christian Müller-Schloer, SRA. His PhD thesis deals with management algorithms for large networks of Smart Cameras. He is the Volavis Director of Engineering.

Marcel Winter worked several years at Deutsche Bank AG in the areas Investment and Business Banking. While studying social sciences at Bielefeld University, he focused on social impacts of Smart Camera surveillance systems on our everyday live. After managing a graduate school he is Volavis Director of Business Development.

Jörg Hähner is Full Professor for Organic Computing at Universität Augsburg. His research focuses on architectures and algorithms in the field of organic computing (e.g., distributed smart camera systems, mobile ad-hoc and sensor networks). He is technical and scientific advisor of the Volavis GmbH.
